ATSP 2017 Literature Summary

For 2017, ATSP has reached new heights for polymers - demonstrating superior tribological performance under abrasive and cryogenic conditions and unprecedented mechanical and thermal properties for nanocomposite foams with outstanding resistance to aging.

2016 ATSP Literature Summary

2016 has seen publications on our crosslinkable aromatic polyester technology deployed as an extraordinarily wear resistant coating,  a high temperature and recyclable foam, a high performance stock shape/bulk material, an innovative solid state adhesive, and a microcracking-resistant and repairable high temperature composite resin. ATSP Innovations awarded Phase II SBIR by NSF

ATSP Innovations, a startup at the EnterpriseWorks tech incubator in the University of Illinois Research Park, has been awarded a Phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant totaling more than $480,000 from the National Science Foundation. This project will facilitate the development of a new family of polymers (Aromatic ThermoSetting coPolyesters, or ATSP) for application to tribological (friction-bearing) surfaces for compressors used in air conditioning and refrigeration. Surface treatments/coatings are key to improving wear performance and durability in a wide range of...
