ATSP selected by NASA to provide dust-resistant prototype bearings

Jacob Meyer

ATSP Innovations has been selected for a Phase II Sequential award from NASA to develop and produce prototye bearing solutions for the abrasive conditions posed by dusty lunar and Martian surfaces. As missions are planned by NASA for the lunar surface, steps must be taken to mitigate damage caused by lunar dust against the sensitive mechanical components of landers, rovers, experiments, and in-situ resource utilization implements. Using ATSP's wear-resistant polymer technology, we will design and provide prototype bearings to meet the extreme thermal, atmospheric, and abrasive dust demands of the future of lunar exploration.
