2016 ATSP Literature Summary

2016 has seen publications on our crosslinkable aromatic polyester technology deployed as an extraordinarily wear resistant coating,  a high temperature and recyclable foam, a high performance stock shape/bulk material, an innovative solid state adhesive, and a microcracking-resistant and repairable high temperature composite resin. ATSP Innovations awarded Phase II SBIR by NSF

ATSP Innovations, a startup at the EnterpriseWorks tech incubator in the University of Illinois Research Park, has been awarded a Phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant totaling more than $480,000 from the National Science Foundation. This project will facilitate the development of a new family of polymers (Aromatic ThermoSetting coPolyesters, or ATSP) for application to tribological (friction-bearing) surfaces for compressors used in air conditioning and refrigeration.
